1. Banish puffy eyes and dark circles

To reduce early morning puffy eyes, put a spoon in the freezer before you go to bed. When you get up in the morning, place the spoon on your eyelids or underneath your eyes to help reduce the puffiness. Teabags work just as good, as the caffeine in the tea tightens the blood vessels in the under-eye area

2. Drink green tea

Green tea is packed full of nutrients and antioxidants and is said to be one of the best drinks for the body. It can prevent cell damage, improve circulation, lower blood pressure and cholesterol and give your skin a healthy glow. Green tea can also help weight loss by helping to reduce fat absorption.

Place your used teabags in the fridge or freezer and use them for that essential eye lift when you wake in the morning.

3. Exfoliate

Skin constantly sheds dead skin cells and replaces it with fresh new ones. Dead skin cells can lead to a build up of spots, blackheads, blocked pores and inflammation of the skin. By exfoliating twice a week, the skin becomes clearer and smoother, and moisturisers will be absorbed more easily into the skin.

Choose a gentle scrub or make your own from natural ingredients. Epsom salt is great to add to your moisturiser as it contains magnesium and sulphates which helps flush toxins from the skin and reduce inflammation.

4. Invest in some coconut oil

To help eyes feel fresher, mix with spent coffee grounds and apply for 15 minutes, 3-4 times a week. Reduce cuts and razor burn by smoothing skin in coconut oil before shaving. The razor will glide over the skin for a smooth finish.

6. Use olive oil as a make-up remover

Use a cotton pad covered with olive oil to wipe away mascara and foundation from your face. Rinse off with warm water and pat dry.

The olive oil will leave your skin feeling smooth and soft without blocking your pores. The antioxidants in the oil will nourish the skin to help it look young and soft.

7. It's all in the application

Sometimes when applying foundation, using too much can make you look like you're wearing a mask. For a more natural look, start from the centre of your face and blend outwards.

This way, the foundation fades as it reaches the edges of your face.

8. Smell sweet all day long

Do you find that your perfume fades over time? If you want to smell good all day, spritz your favorite fragrance on the areas of your body that heat up the most. Heat can help diffuse the perfume.

Try spraying behind your ears, inside your elbows, behind your knees, down your back, on your hair and around your belly button.

9. Always apply sunscreen

Even if it is cloudy, the suns harmful UV rays can damage the skin. Choose a sunscreen with both UVA and UVB protection, and ideally go for a Sun Protection Factor (SPF) of 30 or above.
