Most of us live in the city, are engaged in work almost five or six days a week, and there is no time to rest or enjoy ourselves. In the event that we do have some free time, we rush to the bars and restaurants, chat with friends and family and then the whole weekend is gone, and we are back to our same routine. We are surrounded by buildings, literally in a concrete jungle with only a few pockets of trees covered with silt and dust. We need to change this, step out in nature, enjoy the fresh air, count the stars and do the things we take for granted. Here are simple ways to reconnect with nature, leaving you satisfied, refreshed and rejuvenated, ready for another hard and long week.

Take a road trip

It has been some time since you set off away from the hustle and bustle of the city, so a road trip will give you more than you have ever imagined. Take your family or a bunch of friends with you and make sure you have enough gas, as this can be a long journey. Carry a packed lunch and plenty of water as you embark on this life-changing activity. Take a road that you are less familiar with and explore new places. By the end of the journey, you will not only have reconnected with nature but also with your family or friends. You will have learned new things, gone to new places and appreciated what lies beyond the concrete jungle. Repeat this often, and each time tries a different route - you will be amazed by how much is out there to explore and learn, and you will regret why you never did this earlier.

Watch the sunset and sunrise

Your busy schedule may not allow you to enjoy some of the things that are absolutely free. During the summer, wake up early and stay up late in the evening to watch the sun rise and set. If you can do this at the lakeside or at the ocean you will enjoy an especially beautiful scene. If possible, wait for the moonrise and you will be mesmerized by the beauty of it. You will definitely discover that nice things are absolutely free.

Spend a night outdoors

Take advantage of the warm and cool temperatures by sleeping outdoors, either in your own compound or in the park. You will be amazed by the beauty of the night and the sounds of crickets, frogs, and other creatures. Count the stars and see the moon rise and then disappear. This can be made more special when you spend it with your loved one. You will enjoy nature more, connect better and change your perceptions.
